Horizons of Friendship

Horizons of Friendship is a charity committed to eliminating the root causes of poverty and injustice in Central America & Mexico.

Ellen implements Horizons’ fundraising program and contributes to the organization’s communications strategies. She has extensive experience in project management, grant-writing and community engagement, having worked in the non-profit and university sectors. Ellen holds both a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Geography and master’s degree in Adult Education from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D in Environmental Studies from York University.
